During the winter of 2015, the ACFC held its first “Winter Break” camp for over 30 low-income and homeless children. In spring 2016, ACFC followed up with its second “Spring Break,” where nearly 40 youth participated.

That same year, ACFC also hosted and supported programs offered to 50 youth, ages 5 through 16, by organizations like Lutheran Social Services (Camp Noah) and SMART Chicago-Youth Led Tech.

In September 2016, the ACFC held its first after-school program. Despite a lack of resources and challenges during its inception, the help of a dedicated Recreational/Operations Director and the support of a small board of directors made the after-school program a success in a fun, safe, and violence-free environment.

Since then, the ACFC has conducted community basketball tournaments (funded by the Chicago Community Trust) and other youth and adult-related events.
